Raffles Ng

Assistant Board Secretary, BAcc (Hons) 2018  

Raffles is currently a Senior Associate (Tax Policy) with the Ministry of Finance. With his great passion and love for taxes, he formulates and coordinate the development of corporate tax policies, which includes co-developing tax incentives with the economic agencies to promote and attract investments and economic activities. He was previously from EY Singapore’s Corporate Tax team, where he served clients from various industries such as oil and gas and manufacturing. He graduated with a BAcc (Honours) in 2018 and was appointed as a Class Ambassador. In 2017, Raffles won the Tax Academy of Singapore Prize as the most outstanding student in advanced taxation.

During his undergraduate days, he was actively involved in the business school community where he served as a Research Analyst (Fundamental Analysis) with the NUS Investment Society and also, the founding director of the NUS Biz Accountancy Network (BAN). He conducted revision classes on Financial Accounting and Taxation for his juniors and also, organized networking sessions with the Big 4 accounting firms, business school alumni and students.

Raffles loves to travel to new places and enjoys good food. In his free time, he actively volunteers his time to visit the less-privileged elderly. He would like to continue to give back to the business school and the society.
