Sonny Yuen

Sonny Yuen, a BBA 85 graduate, has been President of the NUSBSA since 2014. He is the elected President for the term 2016-2018. He joined the BSA board in2001 and is a founding life member.

He is the Managing Director of JonDavidson Pte Ltd, a headhunting firm. JonDavidson Pte Ltd is part of the global alliance ENEX. He is a also an Independent Director of Healthway Medical Corp, a listed firm on the SGX. Before becoming an entrepreneur, Sonny worked in senior management positions. His breadth of experience covers Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Finance, Marketing, HR and IT.

He believes strongly in giving back to society, especially with time in service. Sonny also holds an MBA (Distinction) from the University of Hull, 1982




Joey Gan

Vice President and Chairperson of Women's Wing, BBA 1986
Product Director, CrimsonLogic Pte Ltd

Joey graduated with a BBA in 1986 and has been serving as an NUSBSA Board Director since 2004. She has over 25 years of experience in sales, marketing and business development of information systems and business advisory services. Joey has been a Regional Accounts & Business Development Director with Ernst & Young for 13.5 years, serving the Asia Pacific region from 2004 to 2017. Her current role is as a Product Director with CrimsonLogic Pte Ltd, heading Product Marketing and Presales for over 30 locations in Asia, Oceania, Middle East & Africa, Carribean, Latin America and other countries around the world. Joey believes in creating growth opportunities for all, regardless of age and gender. She enjoys interacting and working with youth to benefit communities at large. Joey enjoys scuba diving, cycling, hiking, sailing, golf, and listening to music. She is currently the Vice-President and also the Chairperson of the Women’s Wing of the NUSBSAA.


Hung Meng

Chua Hung Meng

Director, Oriental Group Ltd

Hung Meng previously worked in various domestic and international banks including Industrial and Commercial Bank, AMRO Bank and Credit Suisse. He was Head of Placement in London Forfaiting Asia Pacific Ltd in Hong Kong from 1995 to 1997. From 1997 to 2001, he was a director of one of the subsidiaries of the Singapore Technologies Group, overseeing business development in the debt capital market. Currently, he is an independent director of two companies listed on the SGX and also Board member of World Toilet Organisation. Hung Meng obtained his BBA in 1981, and received a Masters in Professional Accounting from The University of Southern Queensland in 2003.



Arthur Tan

Managing Partner, Wine Tatler LLP

Arthur graduated with a BBA in 1992, on the Dean's list. The same year, he ‘parachuted' into post-communist Hungary to set up a Singapore Company trading in electronic products and textiles and remained there for 3 years. From then on, he has been a serial entrepreneur travelling to over 60 countries, responsible for the family textile business (K L Industries), Just Acia F&B group of 4 outlets and Wine Tatler for its distribution and retailing of wines. Needless to say, he enjoys authentic food and good wines, and gives regular wine talks. NUSBSA allows him to reconnect with the school and to give back what he has gained.



Roch Low

CFO, Consistel Pte Ltd

Roch Low is currently CFO of The Consistel Group of companies, a regional telecommunication related SME based in Singapore. He has over 30 years of finance and operational experience in MNCs, Listed Groups and Start-up companies. He was very active during his undergraduate days having been a Bizad Club VP and Student Union councillor among others. As an Alumni he has volunteered and helped organise numerous significant reunion milestones and other events for his batch. He is also a volunteer mentor with the the NUS Business School BLDP for the past few years. In joining the BSA he hopes to spread and drive his passion for mentorship and a giving back mentality to more alumni members.



Chua Beng Hwee

Executive Director, Council of Advancement for support of education (CASE)

Beng Hwee has been Executive Director of CASE Asia Pacific since October 2010. Known for her combination of skills in strategic planning, internal management and external outreach, she heads a team that is lauded for their friendly, professional and responsive work ethos. With unbridled enthusiasm and passion, she identifies potential partnership opportunities with relevant educational membership bodies, foundations and private organisations to support the development of new programmes and strategic collaborations for CASE.

Prior to joining CASE, Beng Hwee was Deputy Director, National University of Singapore (NUS) Office of Alumni Relations. She holds a Bachelor’s in business administration from NUS.



Steven Yeo Joo Wah

Steven has more than 25 years of international business and management experience working with government agencies, multi-national corporations and non-profit organisations in the health, advanced technologies and semiconductor industries.

He is the Founder and CEO of TalentGrid Ventures focusing on sourcing, developing and providing talents for his clients and partners in the Healthcare and Healthcare IT industries. He also founded Innovating Care Asia Pacific to build a community of thought leaders who are passionate to innovate care for the future of care delivery.

Steven was the Vice President and Executive Director for HIMSS (an international and the largest HIT society in the world) and General Manager for HIMSS Analytics covering Asia Pacific and the Middle East region from 2008 – 2014 driving the industry to leverage Information Technology and Management systems for the betterment of healthcare delivery. He has initiated and founded the partnership of HIMSS-NYP Centre of Excellence for the School of Health Sciences to provide hands-on training for nursing students for better patient care and safety.

Prior to HIMSS, Steven was also the Director of Intel Corporation managing its e-Business Group and Digital Health Group in the Asia Pacific region from 1998-2008 and was “on loan” from Intel to RosettaNet (an international standard body for eBusiness) as their Vice President (Asia) for a 2-year period from 2003-2005.

Steven holds an NUS Business School MBA (Asia Pacific Executives MBA program – APEX 12) and a Bachelor of Commerce with Honours from Dalhousie University, Canada. He is fluent in both English and Mandarin.


Connie Ong

Assistant Honorary Treasurer, BAcc 1987
Executive Director, Bank of Singapore

Connie graduated from the Accountancy faculty in 1987 with Honours. She is currently with the Bank of Singapore as Market Head for Malaysia. Prior to this she was an Executive Director at Standard Chartered Private Bank managing Malaysia, Brunei and Thai clients. She has been in the financial and investment field for almost 30 years in Singapore, Australia and Malaysia. With her vast knowledge in finance, Winnie supports the BSAA team with her skills in finance as Assistant Treasurer.



Tan Boon Chin

Director (Events - Golf), APEX-E MBA (English) 2003
Managing Director, Regional Competency Centre-Public Safety, NEC Asia Pacific Pte Ltd

Boon Chin works for NEC Corp and now heads the Global Safety Division of NEC Corp to promote Public Safety business. He joins the BSA Board to give back to his alma mater that has re-shaped his working life after his MBA in 2003.

He hopes to help make BSA alumni the first choice for alumni to contact if they need to find out more about the NUS Business School. He enjoys travelling to countries to sample their foods, wines and cultures.

He has also started mentoring MBA students and finds it rewarding to share and pass on valuable working experience to the younger generation.



Yong Chin Lian

Director (Accountancy Wing), BACC 1987
Lecturer, NUS Business School & UniSim

Ching Lian graduated from NUS Accountancy in 1987. She is also a chartered Accountant of Singapore. She has accumulated more than 20 years of financial and managerial experience in both MNCs and SMEs and in various industries including manufacturing, trading and service. She is currently teaching Accounting on a part-time basis in both NUS as well as UNIsim. She helped to setup the NUSSU counselling Hotline shortly after graudation from NUS. She also played a pivotal role in organising the inaugural NUS Accountancy Networking Event held in Feb 2014.

Ming Hui


Lee Ming Hui

Ming Hui graduated from BBA in the year 2008. In 2011, he stepped out of the corporate world to begin his entrepreneurship journey.

Ming Hui founded two companies within the space of one year. One of which is Q Research Consulting, specialising on, specifically, University Research Work from the Social Sciences and Communications field, working closely with professors and institutions to manage their research projects.

Ming Hui also founded, the first-ever full service marriage proposal company in Singapore, helping guys with their marriage proposal planning.

Min Hui is the Youth Wing Director of the NUSSAA and works primarily with the current and new student cohorts of the Business School and plays an important role as the bridge between the Alumni board with the future young alumni.

Ow Tai Zhi

Director (Bizad Charity Run 2018) BBA (Finance) 2010
Founder and CEO, AutoWealth

Ow Tai Zhi is the founder and CEO of AutoWealth ( He is the brain behind AutoWealth’s algorithms and investment methodologies and is responsible for the monitoring, rebalancing and investment decisions on clients’ portfolios. Prior to cofounding AutoWealth, Tai Zhi founded SkyTowers Capital Pte Ltd, and developed its flagship Global Asset System. The system registered an annualised return of 27.6% since inception, significantly outperforming the benchmark MSCI World Index and MSCI Singapore Index, as well as mutual funds with similar investment mandates over the same period. He also worked at GIC, where his investment skills and acumen in the Japanese REITs markets garnered more than US$17 million of returns on a US$50 million total return portfolio.

Since June 2014, Tai Zhi has been appointed to the SAFRA Investment Committee, which collectively oversees more than US$100 million of assets. He is also the appointed Commanding Officer-Designate of 773th Battalion, Singapore Infantry Regiment in his military national service.

Tai Zhi received the Distinguished Graduate Award from the Goh Keng Swee Command and Staff College in 2015. .



Angela Sim

Director (Marketing), BBA 1998
Managing Director, ENCE Marketing Group Pte Ltd

Angela helms the ENCE Marketing Group (, established in 2007, that helps businesses oiptimise their marketing investments and channel strategies. The group has specific marketing business units that deliver focused and pricise marketing work for what clients need. The group currently comprises of a PR arm, an events management arm and a design arm

Prior to entrepreneurship, Angela was the Regional Brand Manager for Nakamichi, Oregon Scientific SEA, General Electric, Vintec and Transtherm, handling marketing and retail development for these brands across South East Asia. She was an active student leader in NUS, contributing to the school as Vice-President of the 10th Bizad Club Management Committee.

Out of school she has volunteered on numerous charity boards, such as the Rotary Club, Society of St Vincent De Paul and the deaf community, as well as the NUSS Alumni Development Relations committee spearheading internship and mentorship programmes for the undergraduates. Angela hopes to encourage more of her fellow Bizaders (especially the women!) to play a more active role in their alumni.



Colin Chow

Colin is a global manager with more than 28 years of experience working in multi-cultural and cross geographical environments. He has worked for IBM, HP, Singapore infoComm Technology Federation/SiTF and Merril Lynch before switching to private equity and the venture capital business. Presently he is a consultant focusing on general management business development, sales/marketing and fund raising.

He has been a board member with the NUSBSAA since 2008 so a to give "back" to his alma mater for nurturing him all these years.

I graduated from NUS Business Admin in the year 1989. I started work as a FX dealer and has been in the same line since then.

Benn graduated from NUS Business Admin in the year 1989. He then started work as an FX dealer and has been in the same line since. At present, Benn is the head of the FX desk providing FX advisory to high net worth clients in a French Private bank. Benn is a keen runner and has done various ultra marathons including a 100km race in Hong Kong and several in Singapore. He is also keen on hiking and has hiked Mount Fuji (Japan) and Mount Rinjani (Indonesia).



Lee Junxian

Marketing and Business Development Manager, Owner, Reedz Café

Junxian is the co-founder of accredited alternative investment platform,, a regional fintech company which he co-founded with a number of fellow finance professionals from top investment banks and private equity funds. He is concurrently a partner at private funds White-hole ventures (based in Singapore and Hong Kong) and StartGV (Malaysia). He has prior experience in investments with large corporate funds and operational/product experience from his previous stint in a leading internet company, launching the business across 7 countries in the region.

Junxian also co-owns Reedz Café Pte Ltd, a chain of cafes serving the tertiary education and business park communities. He joined the board to give back, for if you don’t start when young, then when?

Julianti Ng

Julianti has been active in the alumni body since graduation. While working as an auditor at PKF-CAP LLP, Julianti was actively involved in the committee for the Bizad Run in 2013 as Treasurer while also serving as Assistant Treasurer for the NUSBSAA. Julianti was previously the CFO of Alife Air Automobiles. She is currently an accountant at The Antique Express Singapore.

She is currently pursuing her Certified Public Accountant qualification in Singapore.

Derrick graduated from NUS Business school in 2016 as a BBA (Accountancy) graduate. Prior to graduation, he was active in the student community by being involved in NUS Bizad Club as the Vice-President (External) and President. He has continued to contribute back to the school by assuming roles in various committees to keep the Bizad spirit alive. After gaining much from his NUS education, Derrick is passionate to continue his efforts by being an active alumni and contributing more. He aspires towards achieving greatness, from within.

Rix graduated from NUS in 1992. He is Director of Pivotal Career Solutions Pte Ltd (PCS) and Executive Director, Financial Services of Great Eastern Life. Over the past 9 years, he has spent most of his time engaging fresh graduates in in-depth career discussions through Pivotal Career Solutions. Besides interacting with youths, he is a sport fanatic who enjoys badminton and jogging.

Ronald graduated from the con-current BBA/ MSc (Mgt) programme and received a scholarship from NUS Business School to pursue the CEMS-Masters in International Management.

His early career in consulting provided great learning opportunities. From Stockholm to Frankfurt to Shanghai, Ronald eventually returned to Singapore to set up his own security management and technology firm, PPC Security.

An avid sportsperson and a firm believer of creating opportunities for fellow Bizaders, Ronald believes that NUSBSAA provides the perfect avenue to magnify his contributions to his alma mater.

Winnie Cheah

Winnie started her journey as an active Alumni contributor in 2015 when she was invited by the Bizad Charity Run (BCR) committee to be a Bursary Donor. Subsequently, she joined BCR2017 as the Sponsorship & Fund Raising Head to raise funds for Autism Resource Centre. Concurrently in 2017, Winnie also established the Win Advisors Scholarship at the NUS Business School with the hope of giving back to her alma mater.

Winnie runs her own Insurance Team with AIA Singapore with 50 consultants under her care. She is also the Managing Director of her own marketing and recruitment company, Win Advisors Pte Ltd, which helps secure internships for students who are keen to explore a career in Financial Services.

Winnie’s philosophy centres on influencing and developing people to take charge of their lives. She receives great fulfilment in transforming ordinary individuals into successful advisors who achieve great success in both career and family. Winnie runs her business on a solid system of administration, training and motivation, which she firmly believes can facilitate her advisors in optimising their strengths. Winnie is also a sought after speaker in AIA. However, she usually restricts her speaking engagements to smaller groups where she feels more at ease.



Edward Ta Yoke Peng

Lead Financial Controller, Cargill International Trading Pte Ltd

Edward was named Lead Financial Controller of Cargill International Trading Pte Ltd in July 2010 with responsibilities in financial compliance and internal controls for Singapore. He also supervises financial controllers based in South Asia and SEA region. Edward has keen interests in pursuing business opportunities in Indochina and the larger Mekong Delta region. He passions are in developing natural resources and trading mineral products. Outside of work, Edward is keen to pursue social enterprises and various community projects in the region and in Singapore.



Elizabeth Eu

Elizabeth specialises in coaching top performers and senior executive leaders in the dynamic fast paced business environment of Asia Pacific and Japan regions. She has coached a range of leaders from regional presidents to vice presidents, country managing directors and high potential leaders from private to government institutions based in Japan, Korea, China Hong Kong, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, South East Asia countries and Australia.

Elizabeth is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) accredited by the International Coach Federation (ICF). She has a Graduate Diploma in Executive and Professional Coaching with the University of Texas Dallas and a Master of Science in Asia Pacific Human Resource Management with the National University of Singapore (NUS). She is a certified practitioner of the Hogan Assessment Systems, Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), DISC and the Strong Interest Inventory (SII) tools.


Joanne Wu

Joanne graduated from NUS Business School in 2014 with a major in Finance. Upon graduation, she joined Singtel under its Management Associate Programme. As part of her rotation under this programme, she was moved within the organisation to gain knowledge on business operations as well as leadership development. On her second year at work, she was selected to be posted to Hong Kong for 7 months to truly understand the business and experience the vivid working culture there.

Joanne started her journey with NUSBSA when she was in her third year in university. She helped with the very first NUS Business School reunion dinner. She then joined the Association and served on Board upon graduation, with the heartfelt intention of giving back to school.


Royce Ng

Royce graduated in 2014 with a BBA in Accountancy. He believes that young alumni like himself can contribute much to the campus community at large. Before graduation, he was part of a committee that kickstarted the Accountancy Networking Event series aimed at bridging alumni and students and bringing them together. He hopes to be able to continue doing so, and continues contributing his efforts in connecting students, young alumni and experienced alumni.

He is a big foodie at heart and is passionate in helping F&B merchants solve problems to allow them to focus on what they do best, serving up great food and experiences.
